This is Yorkshire Beauty – A Year in Review
2025 has been a milestone year for This is Yorkshire Beauty; a year that not only cemented our purpose, but truly brought our community to life. When we first launched back in 2023 with a full week of thought-provoking events exploring age representation, sustainability, inclusivity, social media and so much more, we knew we were tapping into something special. What we didn’t yet know was just how much it would grow, evolve, and connect women across our region.
Fast-forward to 2025, a year that marked the launch of the BTY Club, a membership community designed to bring like-minded women together through shared experiences, learning, and genuine connection.
Starting the Year with Intention
Our first event took us to KALM, a gorgeous oasis tucked away in Brighouse. Between the soothing soundbath, invigorating plunge pool, and restorative red-light sauna, it felt like the perfect way to set the tone for the year ahead. Calm, grounded, connected.
Conversations That Matter
Between our in-person meetups, BTY Club members came together for intimate online Fireside Chats. From honest discussions about menopause to demystifying social media fads, and the latest developments in collagen, these sessions were raw, real, and full of wisdom.
Mindful Moments in York
Our next in-person gathering brought us to the beautiful setting of The Ivy in York for a mindful brunch in honour of National Stress Awareness Month. Over delicious food and warm conversation, we were reminded just how vital it is to pause and care for our own well-being.
BTY Club member Elain from Hattie Rose Design then led a stunning sustainable floristry workshop with everyone taking away their own creative bouquet.
A Yorkshire Day to Remember
One of the standout memories of 2025 was celebrating Yorkshire Day at the iconic Bettys Tea Room in Harrogate. Over 40 women came together for an afternoon tea filled with connection, conversation, and celebration.
We were joined by some incredible Yorkshire-based businesses, Morgan Clare, Nyne, The Glam Lounge and skin specialist Dr Hayley, who delivered inspiring, educational sessions that beautifully showcased the talent within our region.
Beauty, Fashion & Pampering in Leeds
Next, we teamed up with Flannels Leeds for a private shopping and pamper evening that felt truly magical. Renowned makeup artist Frederic Letailleur wowed us with his artistry and insider tips, while guests enjoyed bespoke beauty consultations throughout the hall. And the goodie bags were next level!
The Power of Beauty – British Beauty Week at Grantley Hall
Our flagship event of the year took place in October at the breathtaking Grantley Hall, and it was everything we had envisioned — and more. Supported by Schofield Money and Blossom Dental Clinic, the sold-out event explored The Power of Beauty through expert-led panels covering longevity, oral health, menopause, skincare, and wellbeing.
We were honoured to hear from brilliant voices, including BTY Member Mel Dunwell (Your Menopause Nurse) and Heather Jackson (Gen M), who brought energy, insight and authenticity to the conversation.
The afternoon featured experiential workshops for mind, body and soul, plus a buzzing beauty hall showcasing incredible local and national brands. To top it off, our charity raffle raised £1,000 for Smart Works Leeds.
Closing the Year with Calm
To round off an incredible year, we gathered our BTY members for an exclusive evening of rest and relaxation at the Harrogate Turkish Baths. After months of events, conversations and growth, this peaceful, restorative night felt like the perfect ending: time spent with women who truly get it.
